14K Vintage Retro Rose Gold OEC Diamond & Ruby Cocktail Ring Size 7.75

This is a beautifully done and unique piece of vintage retro jewelry. The design and materials of this piece date it to the 1940’s. It features a 5 mm Old-European cut diamond that is approximately 0.47 carats. It is very nice in color and eye clean, with some flaws visible under magnification. There is a small divot in the edge of the diamond, visible under magnification, that I think may have originally been under one of the prongs that has been moved slightly. The stone is still held securely. The central diamond is circled by 8 beautiful rubies, totaling approximately 0.8 carats. A couple of the prongs around the rubies could likely use some tightening, but all of the stones are still held securely with no movement or wiggling. There are 8 additional diamonds on the beautiful swirls totaling approximately 0.08 carats. The setting is crafted from 14K rose gold. Pieces from this era and this styling often utilized palladium for the white metal. The ring is not stamped with anything indicating the presence of palladium, but it may possibly be present at the tips of the swirls, where the metal around the small diamonds is white. Lots of gold in this piece, weighing 9.58 grams. It is a size 7.75, but could be resized by a jeweler. Don’t miss out on this showstopper piece!
